حول
Yamama, Company
Usine Laveluxe Industrielle was established in 1964 by the Efforts of its founder Ahmad Ataya in Shiyah as a small manufacturing industry for the production of Laveluxe soap and Laundry powder.
As the business grew up, a new plant was equipped in Naameh –South Beirut in 1970 to meet the increasing market demand.
Unfortunately, during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982, the founder, Ahmad Ataya, disappeared and the Naameh plant was severely damaged.
Despite all the compelling circumstances, and the financial burdens, the founder’s elder son Adnan was capable to start a new semi-professional and manual business to produce vinegars, syrups, blossom water, rose water and grenadine molasses under the brand name Yamama that was locally distributed.
Year on year the business developed rapidly and new automated equipments were introduced to the plant to meet the increasing demands
Thanks to the efforts of the innovative and dedicated manager and competent stuff, new markets were opened and new products were launched and what started as a small industry became a leading company in the manufacturing of apple vinegar, grape vinegar, Balsamic vinegar (Yamama is the first Lebanese manufacturer of this kind), Grenadine molasses, and syrups using the best raw materials and in accordance with international standards, product specifications ,and best manufacturing and hygiene practices.
Now Yamama can be found strongly in the gulf markets and some western countries. Thanks to consumer’s trust in Yamama Excellence more than 65% of the plant’s production is exported abroad in addition to its strong presence in the local market.
